The data presented herein were based on the documents submitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices and Preliminary Result of DVSS2K system.
For the month of February, the timely and late registered births in the Province of Batangas reached a total of 5,096. This means that on the average, 176 babies are born everyday in Batangas. The cities of the province got the highest number of registered birth, namely Batangas, Lipa, and Tanauan, with 752, 736, and 410, respectively. Meanwhile, San Nicolas has the lowest with only 17 registered births.
The registered marriages totaled to 1161, both timely and late registered. From this figure, 130 or 11.20% came from Lipa City, making it the leading city of Batangas in terms of number of marriages. On the other hand, San Nicolas, again, has the lowest registered case with only one registered marriage for the month of February with just a single case only.
On the other hand, the province’s timely and late registered death incidents for the month of February totaled to 1,162. This means that on the average, 40 people die everyday in Batangas. Majority of death registered was recorded in Batangas City with 182 cases. San Nicolas and Balete has the least number of death with 6 cases only.
Timely registered documents are those that occur in February and registered within 30 days while late registered documents are those that occur in February and registered after 30 days.
Inflation rate in the province was registered at 2.469 percent during the reference month.
Among the commodity groups, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco groups registered the highest index points change of 6.4 from 116.8 to 123.2 index points.
Restaurants and Miscellaneous Services groups followed with point increase of 4.8 points from 112.5 index points last year to 117.3 index points this year as shown in Table1.
For the month of March 2012, a total of 353 building permit applications were received and processed. Compared to 373 building applications processed during the prior month, February of 2012, it was moved down by 20.
For this round, City of Batangas registered the highest number with 108 buildings to be constructed. Followed by Lipa City with 89 and Sto. Tomas 29. These are the top cities and one municipality that added much to the continuous progress of residential and non-residential building construction for the month of March 2012.
Among the municipalities which got the lowest number of buildings to be constructed during the period were Ibaan (2), Taysan and Tingloy (1).
Building permit applications for this period is made up of 237 residential, 75 non-residential, 4 Additions, and 37 alteration/repairs. All type of building constructions registered a total floor area of 47,139 square meters with a total value of Php 402,006.
Residential constructions built up the value of Php 245.468M. Non-residential amounted to Php 141.475M. Additions and alteration/repairs at 15.061M.
Batangas City reported the highest value in terms of the total value of construction with Php 128.231M and Lipa City with Php 91.068M.
